We look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office. At this initial appointment, along with a thorough examination, we will discuss your potential treatment options.
Our objective of this first visit is to look at the long-term needs for you and/or your child. This important visit will provide you with the following:
- Is there a condition that orthodontic treatment can address?
- Is orthodontic treatment needed now, or should intervention be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct problem?
- Estimate of the treatment time.
- Estimate of the cost of treatment.
While we can often answer these general questions about treatment at the initial examination, we address specific areas after study records have been taken for diagnosis and consultation. Careful diagnosis and planning leads to superior results and high patient satisfaction.
After making needed study records, we will schedule an additional consultation to discuss treatment options, time frames and financial arrangements. It is important to us that our patients are provided a clear explanation of their specific needs and recommend treatment.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your first visit:
- Any panoramic x-ray taken within the past six months
- Completed health history form
We encourage questions for Dr. Frick from both the patient and the parent, and we design our schedule to allow ample time to answer your questions. We will provide a report to your dentist of our findings and recommendations.
